We welcome comments related to sanctuary management at any time. Please feel free to send us a note at flowergarden@noaa.gov or give us a call at 409-621-5151.

Draft Management Plan

The draft management plan, released on October 22, 2010, will help guide sanctuary management decisions for the next 5-10 years. Public comments on this document and the proposed regulations were accepted through January 20, 2011.

You can view the submitted comments at www.regulations.gov. Click on Read Comments, then enter the words "Flower Garden Banks" in the Keyword box. This will bring up a list of comments and links to access them.

How else can you get involved?

Sanctuary Superintendent greets visitors at the Webster, TX scoping meeting.Our sanctuary advisory council meets about four times per year to discuss the latest sanctuary issues and offer advice to the sanctuary superintendent on a variety of topics. You are always welcome to attend any of these meetings at the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary headquarters (4700 Avenue U, Building 216, Galveston, TX).
