This series of five educational videos, created in 2010, provides a quick overview of Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary. A child's voice narrates each video, making the content more relatable to young audiences. English subtitles are included.

An introduction to Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary as it existed in 2010.

Please note the following changes in information since this video was created:

  • In 2021, the sanctuary expanded to include 14 more banks. It now covers an area of 160 square miles.
  • The 17 banks that now form the sanctuary are located 80-125 miles off the coasts of Texas and Louisiana.
  • As of 2022, the National Marine Sanctuary System consists of 15 sanctuaries and 2 marine national monuments.

Coral Reefs
